Congratulations! - 7th November 2012

It's happening! After relentless effort and courage, finally you got it!

It's Friday (5th Oct 2012), and as usual, we'll try to spend our dinner outside especially when getting some promotional brochure about Hokkaido Autumn Festival @Takashimaya (the cheese cake looked so temptable!), we decided to spend our night at orchard area.

Having dinner in President, lucky plaza then strolling around the department store, finally reached our destination point, Basement of Takashimaya. Amazed me, for very small piece cost for $6.5/pc and still, the queue was very very long. Getting our part, then just went home.

Didn't know what struck me that day, had a feeling to check the post box. I told him, "let's check our letter today!" then we walked to our post box before taking the lift. When he screened through all the letters, he softly said, "it's from ICA" and  three of us stared to the letter he pointed out. Sounds a lil bit sad, he said again "so thin.. seems it's rejected again. Think it's you need to apply already". But full of curiosity, he opened the letter straightly there and then he screamed "It's an Approval-In-Principle..".. I rushed to his side and then read, yeah it's an Approval in principle.. So happy! Finally!

We went home, called our parents and he did his searching for the next steps required. So many modules and sessions need to be done, before completely getting the Final Approval. He's so excited and feels happy for him. Congratulations, baby, your Red passport is on the way :)

Yeap, that's true. Regardless whether you have got the boy "the man" or the girl "the lady", we still have to keep that ~ falling in love, thinking of you ~ moments in our heart. For both of us (even though i am the one who always keep pushing him to do), one of the way we cherish our relationship is by having simple lunch/dinner celebration every month on our special dates. It's not have to be in luxurious and private dining to get the celebration done. For us, by spending a li'l time for only two of us is more than enough to keep reminding each other about how we have fallen in love and how special one in each other hearts.

Guys have always been busy with their works (yeah we know this common reason they always talked about), so why not we are the one who keep reminding them and become more active on this part since women are more sensitive to these kind of things. 

I am so grateful that he always does his best to provide some times for me apart from how busy he is, luv u baby

Welcoming first Sunday of July - 1st July 2012

It's Sunday again and it's a beginning day of July. Time flies so fast, been married almost half a year, worked full time back almost four months, and now seems the exam date getting closer and closer 

All are busy going outside and left me alone at home, one word "study well". haha.. yeah, think better go to take a bath and start reading again. Ciayo, can do it! Yosh!!

ps. wish can watch "The amazing spider-man".. heard from friends, it's a very nice movie.. 

father-in-law in town - 30th June 2012

It's a surprise for me when heard from my hubby that my father-in-law was awaiting near our block. omg, lucky he could remember how to go to our place and be safely reach here. Nobody knowing he's coming to town hahaha..

So, think my plan for weekend will be postponed a lil' bit. Will spend lesser time to read the book (is it a reason only? ) .. need really hard to push myself in the track (seeing my schedule time alr out from line abit.. oh no).

Back to last week topic, we were very disappointed when reaching the "Taste of Village", it was changed to other owner, might be brought over including the names . So, already been in the place, we decided to try the food which was keep promoted by the owner "we are moving from changi seafood, very famous" 

We ordered "kangkung belacan", "cereal prawn", "dried chili chicken", and "thai tofu". Our rating for overall the foods just "so-so".. sad, don't know where does the original "Taste of Village" moved out to.. missed the "crab fried rice", "silver fried rice", "fish beancurd rice", "sambal petai silver fish rice", "homemade beancurd", "claypot fish", "egg yolk prawn", "three eggs spinach", "fish soup"

Sunday morning - 24th June 2012

Good morning! Here come sunday again, and today I need to decide signing up or not. Actually, have to.. I have to be perseverance and full of discipline, seriously.

About yesterday, been quite busy for us. Having cousin's hse warming, family and friends visiting our hse too, and having "small dumpling festive" in home spending well with watching "Big Bang Theory" with friends. Luv it ♥


Back to today's schedule. Going to eunos temple then having lunch in "Taste of Village", miss the food there so much. If the weather is bit friendly, maybe we go to Bugis temple and from there back to home, spending the rest of the day at home.

Overall the foods there are nice, if asking for must-order one, we recommend "homemade beancurd", "spinach with three eggs" and "egg yolks prawn". Yummy!

Pics & Books - 17th June 2012

So happy can manage to wake up by 7am, even though because of some weird dreams. I am in the middle of having my cup of coffee, and sitting in front of comps, ready myself to write the blog for today, hahaha.

So, about yesterday Nakhon's Kitchen, we arrived there by 6.15pm and the queue was quite long. We got our seats by 7pm and what surprise us were the foods came out as just as we sat in the table. Not even more than 5mins. If you compare with Aloy Thai (I love the foods there very much), very different. You need to queue like 1hr in lunch/dinner time, then after getting the seats, you still need to wait almost the other 45mins to get the food being served in front of you.

Didn't know was it too busy last night, or we all in hungry, I forgot to take pics. Commentaries about the food there, 

Sese : I like the kangkong and tomyum.. nice..

Erwin : overall, the food is nice..

Khong long : .. yum yum yum .. (not managed to get his comment, busy with the foods)

Wenny : the food is nice and compare to the price, it's fair. 

We spent $42 for 4 persons by having 2 bowls of tomyum, 1 plate of kangkong belachan, 1 plate of homemade fish cake, and 1 plate of chicken pandan, plus thai ice tea.

After finishing the foods, we continue to eat the martabak in next stores, which I had it last two nights. And so far, no satisfied comments about that (I preferred Har yassin!!)

ps. If we would still want to go back to Nakhon Kitchen? Yup, we would. It's only 13 stops from our home if taking bus, or 10mins walking from Kovan MRT. 

I would prefer Aloy Thai's foods, but the thai ice tea Nakhon is as good as Aloy's one. :)

Thai food paradise - 16th June 2012

It's like any other weekends, get up in the morning (which i wake up a bit late today coz of body ache - blame the "Sheldon" haha), clean the house, browsing and studying (ehm.. !!).. 

And for this lovely saturday, I would like to bring my sweet lil family n friends, to taste this little Thai Restaurant which named "Nakhon Kitchen", located in Hougang Street 21. How can I know about this? long long story.. so to cut it short, i knew it last night when having dinner with colleague on that area. Seeing a long long queue, and when passed the shop, it smelled good too. With additional comments from my colleague "it tastes good n cheap", after reaching home i told my hubby, "lets have a food trip tomorrow at hougang st21".. haha..

Ok, need to be off now. Will update again with our comments about the food.

Sunday late morning - 10th June 2012

It's 8.14 am and it's not a good feeling to wake up at this hour. One reason, I like to wake up around 7 plus in weekend, so can have ample time to enjoy my coffee :p

And, the 2nd reason is I usually can get headache if wake up late than that hours (except I'm sick).

Anyway, back to our yesterday's topic : Char Kway Teow, Sengkang. So the reviews as these below :

Se : still sweet... oh no. 

Win : not bad. but still like Kembangan's Char Kway Teow

Wen : yes, comparing to Singapore' style Kway Teow, this one consider very good. But still, love Kembangan one better. 

The conclusion, nothing can change our lovely Kembangan Char Kway Teow and we miss it alot. Hopefully can go there on weekend one day.

Next plan for today, visit Ikea to get our shoes board and having chicken wings there. Yumm Yumm.. Enjoy this sunday to the max, k! ;)

Char Kway Teow, Sengkang - 9th June 2012

Yes, it's Saturday. I do really love Saturday nowadays, coz can wake up early in the morning, sip and enjoy my cup of coffee, browsing for what i want, having slow and ample time to clean my lovely home and further more, can cook as long as i want.. love it.

Back to Saturday.. Having curiosity to find a good place to eat in our new area, Sengkang.. I have searched one place in google, recommended 'Armenian Street Char Kway Teow' which located in Blk 303 Anchorvale Link, Sengkang.

You know, we both love to find nice food, we even like to wander around in East Coast Rd last time which was very near to our rental place. Do really miss food over there..

To satisfy my temptation, i have decided to spent our dinner today in this 'Char Kway Teow's place. Will update again with our comment ;)

Welcoming 2012

Hi.. Happy New Year 2012, Happy Lunar New Year, Happy Valentine even though I am a bit late to post this right now. I just recall about this blog and when I enter to this link, wow.. the last post I did was on March 2011. It's been one year back!
